Digital Transformation in Securities Services – Client Communication
The paper Digital Transformation in Securities Services – Client Communication paper is now published. Thank you to the WG and in particular our leads, Michael McPolin and Ian Pledger.
ISSA’s Digital Transformation in Securities Services highlights the pivotal moment our industry is currently experiencing. As the demands and requirements from investors, regulators, and operational pressures grow, digitization has become both a necessity and a strategic imperative.
Despite the challenges, such as harmonizing standards across markets and modernizing entrenched systems, the advantages of digitization are clear in terms of cost and client outcomes. Firms that embrace automation, prioritize client-centric processes, and collaborate across the ecosystem will be best positioned to thrive. On the other hand, institutions that resist or delay digital transformation risk becoming obsolete as global markets set new benchmarks for efficiency, transparency, and service quality.
This paper advocates for an industry-wide commitment to modernizing client communication channels, fostering innovation with fintech partners, and pursuing harmonization and standardization wherever possible. These efforts will ensure that the Securities Services industry remains resilient, efficient, and responsive to rapidly changing market needs. We encourage you to take some time to read the paper and consider the key findings and recommendations of the Evolving Technologies Working Group.
