ISSA – Q3/2022 Newsletter

The third quarter of 2022 fell during the Northern Hemisphere holiday period. This gave us the time to catch up on the 20th symposium and plan the 21st symposium (10-12 May 2023, Wolfsberg, Switzerland). In addition, we were able to progess with a number of Working Groups.

What is in this quarter’s Newsletter?

• We are delighted to announce a new Board Member & Sponsor firm, which we are personally very excited about as it validates a number of the actions that ISSA have put in place over the last three years. We will not ruin the excitement of who it is here, but rather leave that to the newsletter itself. In addition there have been a number of changes to the Board.
• We need your help with the ISSA survey – 10 minutes of your time will help us set ISSA up for further success.
• In addition we love talking to the Members so if you can make any of the events highlighted please do so. In the next month there are two of import: We are in Johannesburg next week joining Strate’s Nexus and Standard Chartered is kindly sponsoring the event “ISSA – Africa in focus”. We are also at SIBOS with 3 sessions planned and again it would be great to meet Members here.
• Moreover we have updates on three of the Working Groups and more papers to be published in Q4. Finally, ISSA and Economist Education have been in conversation around the Symposium feedback on whether ISSA can help train and retain talent and now all ISSA members can get a discount on the courses offered by Economist Education.
