Symposium 2023 – Breakout Sessions

On Day 2 of the ISSA Symposium, six themes – which are currently of great importance to the Securities Services industry – will be discussed in Breakout Sessions.
The six themes are:
- Theme 1: Digital Asset Custody – Hypothesis / Pre-Reading / Ideas for Consideration
- Theme 2: Holistic and Non-siloed Risk Management – Hypothesis / Pre-Reading / Ideas for Consideration
- Theme 3: Challenges of Sanctions and Geopolitics – Hypothesis / Pre-Reading / Ideas for Consideration
- Theme 4: ESG and Securities Services – Hypothesis / Pre-Reading / Ideas for Consideration
- Theme 5: Potential for Mutualization – Hypothesis / Pre-Reading / Ideas for Consideration
- Theme 6: Retaining Relevance in a Changing World – Hypothesis / Pre-Reading / Ideas for Consideration
The Breakout Group discussions will take place as follows:
| Part 1 – Discussion | 11 May 12:00 – 15:30 | 12 Groups will discuss these six themes in depth. That means always two Groups deal with the same topic. ISSA Board Members will act as moderators. |
| Part 2 – Consolidation | 11 May 16:00 – 17:00 | The two Groups that have been discussing the same theme join together, challenge their hypothesis and consolidate their findings in order to present them to the audience on Day 3 of the Symposium. |
| Part 3 – Feedback | 12 May 08:45 – 10:30 | One or more speakers present the consolidated results per theme in the plenary. |
