Domestic CSD WG – Due Diligence

ISSA is delighted to bring you the third article from the Domestic CSD Working Group (WG) ISSA-Domestic-CSDs-Due Diligence. The aim of this paper is to raise awareness and foment industry discussion and change around due diligence (DD) processes as they pertain to a Central Securities Depository (CSD).  As recommended in the paper, conversations with the Association of Global Custodians (AGC) and the Association of Financial Markets Europe (AFME) have already begun and, to date, the discussions have been positive.

The Working Group would welcome feedback on the paper as well as interest from our members on engaging in the next stage of the work which will cover changing the process for the best market outcomes. This WG is not restricted to CSDs and already has representatives from US Bank and Standard Chartered contributing. Therefore, all members are welcome.
