ISO 20022 – Survey 2023 Launch

In June 2020 the ISSA ISO 20022 Working Group launched the first ISO 20022 Survey. The survey looked at a few core areas – including current readiness and usage of ISO 20022, business drivers for current and future adoption, views on the necessity and paths towards broader adoption, and the role of industry bodies in shaping these paths. The survey results have driven papers on the results, benefits of a common data model, and Interoperability and APIs and a wider industry debate and have been beneficial for the industry.

Today we are launching the next version as a joint venture between European Central Securities Depository Association (ECSDA) and International Securities Services Association (ISSA). We would like your firm to respond to a short survey on the present and future adoption of ISO 20022 within the Securities Industry. To assist you in completing the survey, please could we ask that you read the attached Context document first as it provides helpful information. In addition you can find a printable copy of the survey questions here to help syndication within your firm.

Please note that we are happy to have more than one response from each Member firm so that we can capture the different perspectives within business lines (e.g. Asset Management, Custody, Investment Banking divisions, or a CSD) or within different business functions – such as Product Management, Technology and Operations teams. We would therefore appreciate you distributing the survey within your organization where appropriate.

The survey results will be published on a fully anonymous basis i.e. no firm will be identifiable. However if you choose to leave your email address then the secretariats of ISSA and ECSDA will be able to provide you comparative feedback if you would like. The output from this survey will be used to inform the next phase of the activity within ECSDA and ISSA.

Please ensure that your firm responds so that your voice can be heard.
